Man held for sexually harassing his daughter in Chennai
The police have arrested a man for sexually harassing his daughter over the superstitious belief that doing such a thing will increase his life span. This crime has happened at Avadi in the neighborhood of Chennai.
Chennai: The police have arrested a man for sexually harassing his daughter over the superstitious belief that doing such a thing will increase his life span. This crime has happened at Avadi in the neighborhood of Chennai.
Going into details, Arul (40) a native of Avadi has a 16-year-old daughter. The incident had come into light when the victim approached the police and disclosed the matter to them on the 24th of this month.
Upon receiving the information, the police reached the spot and inquired the details, where they found that Arul is residing in the same house for the past ten years. They also found that he goes for mediation for every six months at the Kollimalai area in Namakkal district.
During the interrogation, the accused admitted the crime. In the confession statement, he stated that a Swamiji had advised him to have a sexual relationship with his daughter so that he may have a long life. On the incident, the police have registered a case under the POCSO Act and arrested him.
