Two elderly men gang-raped 50-year-old woman in Gujarat
Two elderly men allegedly raped a 50-year-old woman over the pretext of saving her family from social stigma after her son married a woman from another caste.
Palanpur: Two elderly men allegedly raped a 50-year-old woman over the pretext of saving her family from social stigma after her son married a woman from another caste. This incident came into light in the Banaskantha district of Gujarat.
As her son got married to another caste girl, the community elders have boycotted the family. However, the woman urged the elders Ranchodbhai Sutar (65) and Volibahi Sutar (64) to lift the ban and allow the family into the community fold for the last one month.
Taking advantage of this, they agreed to withdraw the expel if their desires are met. As the woman refused to them, they threatened and raped her. Even after the sexual assault, the elders didn't lift the expulsion and continued to harass her.
In this context, the victim has approached the police and produced an audio clip of the accused. On receiving the complaint, the police registered a case against the two accused and investigating further.
