Wilson Roosevelt Jerman, who worked in various positions under 11 presidents of United States succumbed to coronavirus on Wednesday. He was 91.

Jerman who is one of the longest served employees in White House had worked in various positions including cleaner, doorman and butler from 1957 to 2012. He had started working as cleaner under Dwight Eisenhower and retired as an elevator operator during the presidency of Barack Obama.

It was Jackie Kennedy who noticed Jerman working as a cleaner and the first lady promoted him as a Butler and that was his longest position in the White House serving across 11 presidencies.

Desiree Barnes, who worked during the Obama regime said that Jerman used to treat the staff kindly and then recalled that Jerman used to get her a meal while working as an intern if she had not eaten.

Jerman is remembered as the most important figures in the history of African Americans and their role in politics.
