New Delhi: An Air India Aircraft landed in Delhi on Sunday morning, carrying the second match of evacuees from Wuhan in China, the epicentre of the deadly novel coronavirus. The flight had on board 323 Indians and seven Maldivian nationals.

All the 330 passengers will be screened and later moved to a temporary centre built in Manesar outside Delhi, for observation. They will be quarantined for 14 days and kept under round-the-clock monitoring.

Meanwhile, the second case of novel coronavirus was reported again from the southern state of Kerala. Earlier, the first case of the virus in the country was also reported from the state.

Kerala has reportedly kept 1700 people returning from China under observation. The state has been commended for its efforts in isolating and quarantining passengers returning from China and the measures it put in place.

Even as the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the deadly novel Coronavirus as an international emergency, no cure has not as yet been found. Pharma giants are scrambling to develop a vaccine for the virus which is mutating rapidly.

Scientists are hopeful of coming up with a vaccine as the DNA sequencing of the virus has been broken down by the Chinese professionals.
