West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday announced extension of free ration to beneficiaries till June 2021.
The decision by West Bengal CM came hours after Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended the PM Garib Yojana till November-end, adding that 80 crore Indians, mostly poor, will stand to benefit from the scheme.
"The Centre's ration policy should be to provide ration to each and every one of the 130 crore population of the country," she said.
