Prime Minister Narendra Modi
Chandigarh: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended his greetings on Haryana’s Foundation Day and said the people of the state, through their hard work and dedication, have demonstrated their talent and resolve across diverse fields-from agriculture, sports, and defence services to industry, education and startups. While the state’s players are making the nation proud, its farmers strengthen the nation’s food security, he said.
“Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all my fellow citizens of Haryana on the occasion of Haryana Day! Blessed with a glorious history, remarkable valour, and a rich culture, our state is a source of pride for the nation. Its folk traditions and vibrant rural culture have always enriched the nation’s cultural heritage,” the PM said in a post on X in Hindi.
Haryana was carved out as a separate state on November 1, 1966. Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini also greeted the people on the occasion. “On the historic occasion of the Diamond Jubilee, marking the completion of 60 glorious years of Haryana’s journey, heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all the people of the state on Haryana Day,” Saini wrote on X in Hindi.
Saini also shared on X a letter written by Prime Minister Modi on Haryana Day. “Haryana came into existence as a state six decades ago in 1966.
Today is a historic occasion to remember the state’s achievements over 60 years and its glorious journey of hard work, courage, self-respect and development,” PM Modi wrote in the letter.
