Beauty pageant marks Atkinson’s Foundation Day
Atkinson Senior Secondary School organised `Teen Atkinson 2016’ at its premises in One Town recently to mark its Foundation Day. Pooja Agarwal was crowned as Miss Teen Atkinson. Sakshi Solanki and Hanisha Kukreja were adjudged the first and second runners up of the beauty pageant.

School principal Sr Balapushpam said the winners of the beauty pageant were selected considering various aspects, including internal beauty, self-esteem, communication skills, leadership qualities and innovative ideas.
The event aimed at making the girl students confident and realize their self-beauty. The funds accrued from the beauty pageant would be used to organise a free tailoring programme for poor women. On successful completion of the six-month tailoring course, sewing machines would be distributed to the women beneficiaries, the principal said.
