Saptagiri Channel to improve programme content
The programme content of Saptagiri TV Channel will be improved within a month, said M Vijay Bhagawan, who recently assumed office as Director (Programmes) of Doordarshan Kendra of Vijayawada.

Bhagawan who hails from Andhra Pradesh, worked at Doordarshan Kendra of Hyderabad, DD National Channel, DD India, DD Kashmir and DD Urdu earlier.
He has three decades of experience in television production and channel management. Bhagawan who has good knowledge of Telugu, English, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil and Russian languages, said the rich cultural heritage of Andhra Pradesh and its unique art forms would be explored to improve the quality of Saptagiri TV Channel programmes. There is a proposal to expand the purview of Doordarshan Kendra of Vijayawada to cater to the needs of TV viewers of the entire State, he said.
