KCC and Young Patriots enter knockout stage
KCC batsman Uday Bhanu unbeaten half-century (59 not out) helped the team winning the match against the Jyothi cc by seven wickets in Krishna District Cricket Association (KDCA) B Division League for Devineni Ramana and Praneetha Memorial Trophy at Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) grounds in Mulapadu of Ibrahimpatnam near Vijayawada on Thursday. With this winning KCC team entered the knockout stage.
Jyothi CC and KCC team match was held at DVR stadium in ACA grounds on Thursday. KCC team won the toss and invited Jyothi cc for first bating. Jyothi cc scored 117 runs in 20.3 overs and B Naveen scored 42 runs, Sanjaya 31 runs helped to team score A big total, KCC bowlers TV Subramanyam took three wickets by giving 16 runs and another bowler Venkatesh took three for 15 runs.
Replying to the total, the KCC team reached its target 118 runs by loss of three wickets in 19.3 overs. Batsman Uday Bhanu made half-century and helped to win the match. In the second match Young Patriots won the match by 57 runs lead over XI stars and entered the knockout stage.
Young Patriots won the toss and elected to bat first and scored 126 runs and Krishna Babu 39 (not out). Later, XI stars team was all out for 69 runs in 20.3 overs. Young bowlers Tirumal Reddy, Sk Shakir and DVR Naidu took three wickets each and helped for team winning.
