Hyderabad based designer Althea Krishna is excited to present her remarkable collection “Demonetization” at Hyderabad Sailing Week-2017. The collection will be showcased on July 8 at the fashion show ‘Regatta Ball’ from 6.30 pm onwards at Secunderabad Sailing Club. As a part of the ball, the sailors themselves would do a fashion show where the girls would be clothed by designer Althea Krishna.

This quirky line of clothes has been created using the print of the old 500 and 1000-rupee notes and has created a buzz at the Lakme fashion week S|R 2017. Althea’s ‘demonetization collection’ has been created using 60% organic cotton weft and 40% Tussar silk warp for the sheen. The fine silhouettes depicted in vintage style are ideal for every age group to adorn.

Designer Althea says,“As a civilian I’m excited to do this show as it gives me an opportunity to work with the sailors. It gives me a feeling of patriotism since Indian navy is doing so much for our nation.I thought it would be a great idea to contribute from my side as my collection is wearable and inspired from a nation move of demonetizing INR 500 and 1000 notes.”
