Maruti Ciaz S launched
Maruti has launched a sportier version of the Ciaz mid-size sedan in the Indian market, christened the Ciaz S. The Ciaz S is available in both petrol and diesel engines, priced at Rs. 9.39 lakhs and Rs. 11.55 lakhs respectively (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

On the exterior, the Maruti Ciaz S gets front, side, and rear spoilers along with a boot-mounted spoiler which gives the sedan sporty looks. Inside, the Ciaz S comes with all-black premium interior with grey chrome finishing on the instrument panel (the regular Ciaz gets wood finishing on the instrument panel).
The Ciaz S continues to be powered by the 1.4-litre petrol engine that makes 91 HP of power and 130 Nm of torque and a 1.3-litre diesel engine with SHVS that makes 89 HP of power and 200 Nm of torque. Transmission options on the petrol engine include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic gearbox while the diesel engine comes with a 5-speed manual only.
The Ciaz S is available in a choice of 7 colours – White, Silver, Black, NEXA Blue, Brown, Grey, and Red. The sedan competes against the Honda City, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and the upcoming Hyundai Verna.
