SVR bronze statue to come up at Tadepalligudem
Endowments Minister Pydikondala Manikyala Rao, has said that a bronze statue of noted film actor SV Ranga Rao will be installed by July 3 in Tadepalligudem town.

He participated as a chief guest in the Late SV Ranga Rao centenary celebrations preparatory meeting held at BVR Kala Kendra here under the aegis of Samaikya Bharati Socio and Cultural Organisation. Samaikya Bharati president Prasada Rao presided over the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that people should come forward to install the statue of great Telugu actor SV Ranga Rao in Tadepalligudem.
Cine Director Relangi Narasimha Rao, recollected the actor’s greatness in acting and his liberal charity activities.
Noted film critic SV Ranga Rao, who produced the documentary on SVR’s life, recollected the actor’s life events.
SVR’s grandson SVL Ranga Rao said that in Eluru City, which was like a native place to him, a Kalyana Mandapam in the name of SVR and a big bronze statue of SVR would be constructed with the help of his family members.
Municipal Corporation former Chairman Etakota Tataji, Kindness Society president Gattim Manikyala Rao announced Rs 50,000 each as a donation to install SVR’s bronze statue.
Municipal floor leader Yeggina Nagababu, society president Karri Sitaramaiah, Kapunadu district women wing president Kothapalli Subbalakshmi, Karri Prabhkara Balaji, Buddhala Vijaya Babu, TVM Krishna Rao, Kapu Yuvata president Marisetti Ajay, Neelam Suresh and others participated.
