Follow onsite compost system, hoteliers told
The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner, V Vijayarama Raju has directed the hoteliers to start on-site compost by December 31 without fail.
Rajamahendravaram: The Rajamahendravaram Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner, V Vijayarama Raju has directed the hoteliers to start on-site compost by December 31 without fail.
Addressing the managements of various hotels here on Wednesday, he said that the corporation was very particular to maintain cleanliness in the city, and urged the managements to arrange for necessary machinery to convert wastage into compost before the deadline.
The hotels have an option of using bulk waste generators. "The hotels and establishments producing more than 100 kgs of garbage everyday should follow the instructions," he reminds.
The RMC is converting the garbabe as organic manure and using in its parks.
Additional Commissioner NVVS Rao, representatives from ISKCON, River Bay Resorts, La Hospin, Shelton, Venkies Delight, Walmart, Reliance Mart, Spencers and many others were present.
