6 fencers from Prakasam selected for nationals
AP State Fencing Association president and Prakasam District Fencing Association secretary V Nageswara Rao announced that six players from the district were selected for the 28th National Senior Fencing Championship.
Ongole: AP State Fencing Association president and Prakasam District Fencing Association secretary V Nageswara Rao announced that six players from the district were selected for the 28th National Senior Fencing Championship.
He said that K Himasri and P Rohit Kumar Reddy were selected in the Épée category, Ch Divya and R Naga Chiranjeevi were selected in the Sabre category while G Kartikeya and S Sankar Pradeep were selected in the Foil category for the national championship. He said that the players would participate in the national championship to be held from December 23 to 26 at Sholapur in Maharashtra.
The Prakasam district sports development officer, RK Yatiraj, district Fencing Association president Balisetty Nageswara Rao, Prakasam district Olympic Association Ad Hoc committee convener Kurra Bhaskara Rao appreciated the fencers and wished them all the best.
