Kakinada: Commissioner K Siva Parvathi said the municipal corporation would develop Boat Club Park to make it more attractive in a meeting here on Monday. “The corporation will take up various development works in the park under the smart city scheme,” she said. After receiving a petition from the Boat Club Walkers Association on the plight of the park, she responded and informed that the parks at Rajah Tank and Gandhi Nagar Park would be developed in its initial phase, further assuring that in the second phase, the Boat Club Park would be developed with the smart city funds.

She said that the motor was repaired in the Boat Club Park and the concerned officials have eliminated garbage in the area. She assured the walkers that she would soon solve other issues in the park.

President of the Walkers association, Adabala Ratna Prasad, along with the members, submitted a complaint regarding the plight of the park. Walkers association secretary Dasari Sreedhar, treasurer Raghava Rao, Rama Krishnam Raju and others were among them who met the Commissioner.
