Rajamahendravara: Traffic Police have been implementing one-way traffic in many areas in the city to avoid traffic problems, but in vain. Many accidents on one-way roads have been reported as a few vehicle riders have been violating rules and riding in opposite directions.

As traffic bosses have been posting a traffic constable on only one side of the road, the erring vehicle riders enter the road from the other side.

Telugu Desam Party corporator of 27th division, Bura Durga Anjaneya Rao said that VT College Road was under one-way system from municipal stadium to Kotipalli bus station passing through VT College. “But many vehicle riders enter into the one-way road from Kotipalli bus station road, posing problems to the commuters on the right.”

Meanwhile, mechanic sheds on VT College Road occupying the roads are said to be other reasons for accidents. He advised the traffic police to post one more constable at Kotipalli bus station to avoid accidents.
