Rajamahendravaram: Leaders and activists of YSRCP organised a 2 km padayatra from Fort Gate to Syamala Theatre Centre through the main road, expressing their solidarity to Praja Sankalpa Yatra of the party president, YS Jaganmohan Reddy who completed 1,000 km on Monday.

The YSRCP city coordinator, Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao said that Praja Sankalpa Yatra was aimed at knowing the problems of the people in the state from grassroots-level and find solutions. “Jaganmohan Reddy has garnered tremendous response from the people everywhere during his marathon padayatra. The YSRCP was the only alternative to TDP in the state and the people eagerly await Jaganmohan Reddy's rule,” Rao said.

He opined that people of the state were vexed with ‘anti-people’ polices of the TDP government. “Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu shattered the dreams of the people and the people were with YSRCP,” he claimed. He called upon the party activists to extend their support to Jaganmohan Reddy.

YSRCP Greater Rajamahendravaram coordinator, Kandula Durgesh underlined the need to strengthen the party to face ensuing elections. “The people are wishing party's success in Assembly and general elections and YSRCP is the only ray of hope to the people. The party president is always fighting for the people and the ruling party is unable to digest it,” he added.

“The YSRCP is the voice of the people and working effectively as opposition in the state. Many are asking party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy to come to their areas during his yatra to pour their problems,” he contended. The YSRCP leaders, MS Reddy, Akula Virraju, B Srihari, BCs, SCs, STs, minority, student and members of the youth and women wings participated in padayatra in large numbers.
