Rajamahendravaram: Sri Kandukuri Veeresalingam Panthulu Thestic (SKVT) Degree College principal, Dr P Srirama Murthi has hailed the merger of SKVT educational institutions with Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU).
Speaking to ‘The Hans India’ here on Wednesday, he said that all the eight educational institutions would be developed in all fronts and 6,000 students as well as 500 aided and un-aided teaching and non-teaching staff benefitted in all aspects. The SKVT educational institutions would get a nationwide recognition with the takeover by AKNU and be financially strong for the university to begin endeavours like digital classes.
As the educational institutions falls under the purview of AKNU, there is a scope to setup a research centre on the premises of SKVT. He underlined the need to establish Kandukuri Peetam, which would assist in garnering funds from the company that formerly employed eminent scientist, Dr Yellapragada Subba Rao.
“Dr SubbaRao was a student of Kandukuri educational institutions,” he added. “The long pending desire of the students and staff of the institutions has come true and there is no need to look at the past,” he said.
