SRKR student wins gold medal in NCC parade
An engineering final year student of SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram won gold medal in the NCC parade and cultural activities and best all round performance conducted on Republic Day parade at New Delhi. The student, Ramani Pridhviraj, a ECEC final year student was in NCC of the college and selected for the Republic Day parade that was held last month at New Delhi.
Bhimavaram: An engineering final year student of SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram won gold medal in the NCC parade and cultural activities and best all round performance conducted on Republic Day parade at New Delhi. The student, Ramani Pridhviraj, a ECEC final year student was in NCC of the college and selected for the Republic Day parade that was held last month at New Delhi.
The NCC Director General has presented gold medal for his outstanding performance in the cultural event at the parade from NCC, according to the college principal, G Pardhasaradhi Varma said.
The student participated on behalf of 19th NCC Andhra Battalion. After the parade, he participated in various camps conducted in New Delhi and Hyderabad and returned to Bhimavaram on Friday. He met the college principal after his achievement this morning. The college prinicipal, college secretary and correspondent Sagi Vithal Rangaraju, staff and students congratulated Pridhviraj for his achievement.
Over 150 NCC cadets from the Andhra Battalion went to Delhi parade and eight cadets won the all-round best performance awards. Among the eight, Pridhviraj was one of the best, said Sagi Vithal Rangaraju. Pridhviraj said that it was a pleasure and unforgettable moment to participate in the parade and meeting with the President of India, Prime Minister and the Chief of the Armed Forces.
The JNTU former vice-chancellor Dr K Lal Kishore, the college ECE head of the department, PV Ramaraju also congratulated the student for the achievement.
