SCR to host Inter-Divisional RPF Volleyball Championship
The Railway Protection Force, Vijayawada Division will organise South Central Railway Inter-Divisional Railway Protection Force (RPF) Volleyball Championship at Railway Stadium here from February 26 to 28.
Vijayawada: The Railway Protection Force, Vijayawada Division will organise South Central Railway Inter-Divisional Railway Protection Force (RPF) Volleyball Championship at Railway Stadium here from February 26 to 28.
According to the Chief Staff and Welfare Inspector (Sports) N Arjuna Rao, five divisional teams (Headquarters, Hyderabad, Guntur, Guntakal and the host team Vijayawada divisions) will take part in the championship. The championship will be conducted on Super League System for best of three sets. The winning team would be qualified for All India Railway RPF Volleyball Championship which will be held at Kolkata in March.
Additional Divisional Railways manager MVS Rama Raju will inaugurate the championship on February 26 at Railway Stadium here at 9.30 am. Divisional sports officer and security commissioner SR Gandhi would be the guest of honour and assistant security commissioner AS Thyagi will preside over the function.
The Vijayawada team members are P Venkateswara Rao, (Captain), N Vara Prasad, K Ramanaiah, K Ramu, G Srinivas, R Janaki Ram, D Purnachandra, PH Narayana, Chennakesav and Sayerswar. The manager of the team is Dharmendra Kumar.
