Tanks to be filled for drinking needs
Collector Kona Sasidhar, directed the officials to fill the drinking water tanks with the Nagarjunasagar water.
Guntur: Collector Kona Sasidhar, directed the officials to fill the drinking water tanks with the Nagarjunasagar water.
He conducted a teleconference with the irrigation officials on the occasion of release of water from Nagarjunasagar dam for drinking water purpose taking coming summer into consideration. He instructed the officials to use water for drinking purpose only and all drinking water tanks should be filled.
He instructed the police officials to arrange police security and see that no diversion of drinking water for other purposes. He instructed them to verify whether water released for filling tanks would be misused.
He directed the officials to fill all the drinking water tanks in a planned way. Due to shortage of water, the government was filling water tanks for drinking purpose and instructed the municipal commissioners to fill the summer storage tanks with the sagar water.
