Fifteen motorcycles burnt in fire mishap

Hyderabad: As many as 15 motor cycles parked in the cellar of KK Residency located in SRT Colony of Sanathnagar police station limits were gutted in a fire accident that occurred in the wee hours of Tuesday. Residents of the apartment ran out of the complex in fear and smoke billowing from the cellar gave an impression that the flames would spread to the flats. However, timely intervention of fire services personnel brought the situation under control. Police suspect that some miscreants might have set fire on the motor cycles. A case has been registered and investigations launched, police said. FIRE IN RAILWAY SCRAP YARD In another incident, fire broke out in the scrap yard at Lalaguda Railway Workshop on Tuesday evening resulting in the damage of scrap material worth several lakhs of rupees. Fire services department brought the fire under control. This is the second such accident in the last ten days in the scrap yard.
