Hyd firm bags best animation award

Venkat Parsa New Delhi: The Hyderabad-based Creative Mentors bagged Best Excellence in Animation and Gaming Education Award. The Award was presented by Brand Academy in an Asia's largest Education Excellence Awards programme held here. Hyderabad is a hub of animation activity. The city boasts of over 30 animation colleges and 100 animation companies. Creative Mentors was picked up for its innovation. Advertising Guru Prahlad Kakkar gave away the prize to its MD Suresh Kovvuri, who has one-and-a-half decades of experience. He worked with Satyam Animation in Chennai, DQ in Hyderabad, Synergy Images at Bangalore and Crest Animation in Mumbai. He said , "It is our dedication and commitment to the quality animation that secured us this prestigious award. It means so much to me to win this award. The whole team put so much love into every frame of animation we produced." Given the long tradition of culture, treasure of various folk arts and tales, abundant pool of animators with excellent technical skills, low-cost operations, large and vibrant Bollywood and Tollywood industry, experience in multi platform development and design, excellent technical education infrastructure, Hyderabad could be the next big animation capital of the world, said Suresh.
