Anam Mantra may mean all things to all people annamHyderabad: It is going to be yet another mega budget for the state. Expectations are high both from the rulers and the ruled. And Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, who is going to present it for the third consecutive year, has adopted a mantra of his own - all things for all people. By all means it is expected to have the trappings of an election year package. The Budget would be presented at 10.26 an on Monday. The government would be devising the Budget 2013-14 as a special measure to steal the hearts of different sections of the society keeping the ensuing Assembly elections in mind. While the poor sections are anticipating some relief schemes, the leaders of industry, agriculture and information technology are awaiting a respite from power crisis. Anam has already indicated that the subsidies to the poor would be continued in the 2013-14 Budget. Regarding the growth rate, the Finance Minister said, "The dry spell conditions, cyclones of Jal and Nilam and the T stir would hit the growth rate in the Budget." The Chief Minister will put his stamp by introducing a few novel schemes to the poor, particularly women, dalits, minorities and tribals. Sources said the Chief Minister had suggested different schemes but the finance department could not accommodate all due to financial constraints. The government wanted to get the support of the youth and also the minorities after the ties with the MIM soured. It is reported that the allocations to the Irrigation sector would be the major component in the budget. "We tried our level best to address all the issues confronting the state and satisfy a majority of the sections", Anam told to The Hans India.
