tv2Hyderabad: TV artiste Vijay Yadav called off his indefinite fast at the AP Film Chambers here on Monday, with MAA president M Murali Mohan offering lemon juice to him. Later, Vijay told media persons that TV artists would take up a relay hunger strike at Indira Park from April 17 to meet their demands. It may be recalled that they were protesting against dubbing serials that hamper their interests.

Meanwhile, six television artistes, including two women, arrested on April 12 in connection with the attack on the Maa TV office were shifted to Chanchalguda jail on Monday. The women were moved to the jail's women's wing.

The artists have been demanding the stoppage of dubbed serials by various TV channels, as they will affect their income and future. A Earlier, Vijay Yadav who was on an indefinite fast at Indira Park to press A the demand was shifted by police to Gandhi Hospital on Sunday - fourth day of his fast- as his health deteriorated.

Tension prevailed as several artistes, present at the spot, tried to stop the police. Rajesh Yadav, a member of the association, had warned that the agitation A would continue till the demand was conceded by various TV channels.A However, Vijay called off the fast later.
