“The campaign for the 2014 general elections will kick-start with Narendra Modi’s rally in the city,” said BJP national leader M Venkaiah Naidu on Friday. Addressing a press conference in the city, Venkaiah Naidu said “There will be a series of rallies all over the country starting with the rally in Hyderabad. The purpose of this rally is to mobilise people for ‘Congress-Mukta Bharat’ (Congress-free India),” he added. Speaking about the meeting and the rally, he said, “Narendra Modi would speak about development and good governance and the difference between NDA and UPA rule.

On the recent ambush of Indian Jawans by Pakistan army, he said that there were 57 ceasefire violations this year alone which was 80 per cent more than the previous year. He questioned the need for carrying talks with a country that had been aiding, abetting and funding terrorists.

Cong misleading people
When asked about the agitation in Seemandhra over bifurcation, Naidu blamed the Congress party saying that it has misled the people. He further added that the Congress leaders had failed to bring the aspirations and feelings of the people to the notice of their high command.

All set for NaMo’s show
BJP state unit left no stone unturned to make Narendra Modi’s rally and meeting on August 11 a huge success. A BJP spokesperson informed that youth were embracing Modi with open arms and they were expecting a huge turnout on the day. He informed that there were 500 centres for the participants to register their names before attending the meeting in the city and these centres would continue to work till Saturday. On Sunday, the day of the meeting, there would be 20 registration centres at the venue open from 10 am.

The state unit has named the venue as ‘Swami Vivekananda Pranganamu’. There will be three LED screens set up at the venue. A special entry way for women, gate no 17, is named as Rani Rudrama Devi gate. Arrangements were made for drinking water and parking. The venue would be divided into 12 blocks which would be manned by 200 volunteers of BJP Yuva Morcha. 12 LED screens would be installed around the stadium for people to see it live.
