Due to heavy rains, standing crops, especially paddy in its harvesting stage, in several hundreds of acres were inundated at several places in Nizamabad.
Standing crop of paddy is in harvest stage at many places in Nizamabad, Bodhan, Banswada, Armoor, Balkonda mandals. As there were rains for the past four days in Nizamabad district, standing crops in several hundreds of acres were inundated.
Large stocks of crop yields were damaged at Agriculture Market yards in Karimnagar district. Crop yields were damaged at Jagityal, Jammikunta, Karimnagar and other market yards. Hundreds of farmers expressed their shock at the damage caused by the excess rains during the Kharif season. Coal production was stopped for some hours at Open Cast Mines of SCCL in Karimnagar district on Wednesday.
