Seemandhra Ministers Discuss Future Course. Union Ministers from the Seemandhra region met in the chamber of Union Textiles Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and understood to have discussed ways and means to safeguard the interests of the people of Seemandhra region.

To ensure concerns of the region are adequately addressed
New Delhi: Union Ministers from the Seemandhra region met in the chamber of Union Textiles Minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao and understood to have discussed ways and means to safeguard the interests of the people of Seemandhra region.
According to sources, the ministers from Seemandhra region plan to meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The Union Ministers from Seemandhra would prefer to personally meet both Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to suggest measures for the protection of the interests of the Seemandhra people.
Those present in the meeting were HRD Minister M M Pallam Raju, Minister of State for Finance J D Seelam, Minister of State for Petroleum Panabaka Lakshmi, Minister of State for Telecom Killi Kripa Rani and Minister of State for Commerce D Purandeshwari.
The Union Ministers from the Seemandhra region, who resisted pressures on them to resign from their posts, are now trying to do their best to ensure that all the concerns of the people of the people of Seemandhra region are adequately addressed.
The ministers had argued that they can better the serve interests of Seemandhra by remaining in office than quitting their posts. Earlier in the day, Seelam and senior Congress MP K V P Ramachander Rao met Digvijay Singh and represented to him on the steps that are needed to be taken to protect the interests of the Seemandhra region.
The two leaders wanted Hyderabad to be under Central administration, liberal Central assistance for building the new capital of the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh and protecting the irrigational facilities for Seemandhra.
