Two suspected of black magic, killed

In a heinous act, two persons were stoned to death suspecting them responsible for the black magic in which three persons died in Seshammagudem village in the mandal.

According to the rural police, Somaiah aka Somalingam of Seshammagudem village attacked Peram Ramulu, 75 and Gadar Bhiksham, 60, belonged to ST Colony in the same village with an iron rod while they were sleeping before their houses in the early hours of Tuesday.

First the accused attacked Ramulu with an iron rod and dragged him onto the road before smashing his head with a boulder. Later, he also attacked Gadar Bhiksham in the same way and killed him.

When the mother and son-in-law tried to stop him, they were also attacked. Three persons died in the recent past in the village due to some illness. The village elders have come to conclusion that the victims were responsible for the death of the three persons.

The victims were asked to leave the village. Later, the police intervened and reconciled the warring villagers. The police shifted the bodies to the government hospital here and the injured were admitted for treatment. Following a complaint lodged by the relatives of the deceased, the police registered a case and investigation is on. The prime suspect, Somaiah, is absconding
