TDP senior leader, Varla Ramaiah on Sunday strongly criticized the YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for attempting to garland the statue of the late chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and founder of Telugu Desam Party, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao at Nimmakuru village in Krishna district.
He spoke to media and alleged that Jagan has an intention of dividing the family members of NTR and playing the foul game using the late chief minister as the pawn. He allegedly held Jagan responsible for the death of KNR who sought the parliament seat of Machilipatnam (Bandar) constituency. He also alleged that whereas Jagan demanded for Rs 25 crores as bribe for the parliament seat, KNR had agreed to give Rs 10 crore.
Further, he said Nimmakuru being the native place of late NTR, with an ill intention of dividing the family members of late chief minister, YS Jagan wanted to garland the statue of NTR. He inquired what else could be the intention behind that act. He said no TDP leader ever tried to offer tributes to the statue of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy.
But, the comment made by Ramaiah has been viewed illogical among the political circles. Further, said Ramaiah, the TDP workers will never accept tributes from any corrupted person like Jagan Mohan Reddy. He viewed garlanding by Jagan as the sacrilege done to the famous person’s statue.
When inquired about Junior NTR’s continuance in the party, the TDP Rajyasabha member, Sujana Chowdhary responded that it was not the appropriate time to discuss that matter. “We are evolving a strategy to oppose T-bill in parliament”, he added.
