Srikalahasti: On the occasion of `Sani Trayodasi' on Saturday the Srikalahasthiswara temple here witnessed a heavy turn of devotees from various places including Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. Devotees made a beeline to perform `Abhishekam' to the deity of Saniswara in the temple on the auspicious occasion.
It is pertinent to note that it is the only Siva temple where a (sub) temple for Saniswara was separately located in the shrine which has been attracting good number of devotees. A special ritual Mahanyasapurva Rudrabhishekam which was being performed on every Monday and Saturday was also held today to Lord Siva adding more to the religious importance of the special occasion.
With the heavy rush due to the auspicious occasion and week end holiday, it took five to six hours for the devotees to have Lord Siva darshan, the presiding deity of the temple. Many complained that the authorities gave importance to the VIPs causing inconvenience to the common pilgrims.
