According to party sources, Lokesh who has been addressing several meetings with the students’ wing and has been organising various surveys in each Assembly segment will be given the responsibility of finalising the party candidates for the 2014 elections. Lokesh has of late been taking active interest in party activities and has been making power point presentation at various camps held at NTR Trust Bhavan, the party head quarters.
As part of this exercise, Lokesh is learnt to have held a meeting with the party leaders from Guntur to understand the ground level political situation and identify the party probables for the ensuing general elections next year. According to a senior party leader, Lokesh was the back room boy of Naidu in selection of candidates even during 2009 elections.
