Naidu demands Rahul’s apology, Chandrababu Naidu Demaded to Rahul Gandhi. He stated that the Congress leader’s statements on corruption were like ‘devil quoting from the scriptures’.

Hyderabad: Lashing out at the Congress-led UPA government, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday demanded AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi to tender an apology to the nation for the unbridled corruption in the country before embarking on a ‘cleansing’ mission.

Addressing the media here, he sought to know why Rahul maintained silence on corruption that prevailed for the past ten years and why he was now giving ‘sermons.’

He stated that the Congress leader’s statements on corruption were like ‘devil quoting from the scriptures’.

Naidu dared Rahul Gandhi scion to take action against Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan for their alleged involvement in the Adrash Housing Society scam.

The TDP chief also asked Rahul as to why he did not take action against the ministers in the AP cabinet for their alleged involvement in mining, liquor and land related scams that were unearthed by the CBI while investigating YSRCP president YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s assets case.

“The Centre has also misused investigative agencies for achieving political gains and settling scores. The Congress vice-president owed an answer to the nation before implementing the ‘Lokayukta’ in the Congress-ruled States.

Stating that the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities and inflation had a cascading effect on corruption, the TDP leader also questioned Rahul for the Congress government’s failure in bringing back black money stashed in foreign banks.

The recent poll verdict in four key States in which the Congress was routed was a stark example that people were ready to bury the party in the ensuing general election, he added.
