ACB raids on check-posts throughout State
ACB raids on check-posts throughout State, Anti-Corruption Bureau. The ACB raided the integrated check-post at Naraharipeta in Chittoor district and took into custody 18 persons and cash worth Rs 47,000 was seized from them.
Hyderabad: The officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted a number of raids throughout the State on the check-posts on Sunday where the private individuals and officials were collecting bribes and took them into custody.
The ACB raided the integrated check-post at Naraharipeta in Chittoor district and took into custody 18 persons and cash worth Rs 47,000 was seized from them.
The ACB sleuths have also conducted raids at the Road Transport Authority check-post at Penugonda in Anantapuramu district and seized Rs 34,000 from them. They were also interrogating the officials there. An integrated check-post was also raided in the Srikakulam district and Boraj check-post in Adilabad district.
The officials of the ACB conducted raids in Khammam and Palvancha check-posts, seized cash worth Rs 13,000 and booked case against the Motor Vehicles Inspector. They also raided the check-post in Tetagunta for the second time in one week and seized cash worth Rs 1.25 lakh from the officials. They also took into custody two private individuals and two officials.
