Says blocking the Bill is undemocratic

Hyderabad: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof Kodandaram on Saturday termed the actions of Seemandhra legislators in both the Assembly and Legislative Council as unconstitutional and undemocratic.

Speaking to reporters after releasing a poster of TJAC's 'Sampoorna Telangana Sadhana Deeksha' scheduled to be held on January 7 at Indira Park, Kodandaram reminded that almost all the regional parties in the State had thrown the ball in Centre's court on dividing the State.

“However, once the Centre took a final decision on the issue these parties did a volte-face. As a result, legislators of these parties have been obstructing proceedings to ensure that no discussion takes place in both Houses on the AP Reorganisation Bill,’’ he said.
