Ashok Babu asks leaders to defeat T Bill

Ongole: Andhra Pradesh NGOs’ Association president P Ashok Babu on Monday called upon the Seemandhra people’s representatives to defeat the Telangana Bill, both in the Assembly and Parliament. Announcing the launch of the last struggle of the Samaikyandhra movement here, after setting fire to the Bill during ‘Bhogi mantalu’, he said by defeating the Bill, MPs and MLAs would be conveying the Seemandhra people’s desire. ‘It is time for all parties to come on a common platform and reflect the people’s sentiments’.

Talking to The Hans India here, Ashok Babu disclosed that the renewed struggle would last only two or three days. The NGOs, he said, ‘were getting ready for a do-or-die battle with the Centre. So far we have dictated the struggle. Now political parties have to take it forward’. The NGOs leader warned that those leaders not backing the struggle would be taken care of in the ensuing elections.
