‘Kiran has no right to give notice to Speaker’, State Assembly, Telangana region, Kodandaram. Kodandaram was here on Monday to attend a tribal conference organised by Tudumdebba and Adivasi Hakkula Porata Samithi here on Monday.

Warangal: Andhra Pradesh has lost its base to continue in its present state in view of the vertical division occurred in the State Assembly as well as in the state cabinet. Hence the people of Telangana region need not have any apprehensions over the formation of separate state, Telangana JAC chairman Prof Kodandaram said.

Kodandaram was here on Monday to attend a tribal conference organised by Tudumdebba and Adivasi Hakkula Porata Samithi here on Monday.

Speaking to the press persons on the occasion, he explained that the cabinet and the Assembly were divided on Seemandhra and Telangana lines therefore the efforts of the Chief Minister and the leader of the opposition to keep the state united would yield no result. The Chief Minister K Kiran Kumar Reddy and N Chandrababu Naidu extend their support for the peaceful bifurcation.

The TJAC leader noted that the CM has no right to give notice to the Assembly speaker to reject the Telangana bill. The notice given by the CM was unconstitutional. Only the Assembly could suggest changes in the bill but not the CM as individual. In view of the division in the cabinet, Kiran Kumar Reddy should not be continued in his position, he opined. “The dramas being played by the CM, Chandrababu Naidu and the Seemandhra leaders were about to conclude on January 30. The Telangana bill would go to the parliament and the state would be created without any doubt” Kodandaram asserted.
