Hyderabad: The high court of Andhra Pradesh in its verdict instructed the state government to hold elections for the municipalities within a period next 4 weeks. Rejecting the petition filed by the Chief Secretary to increase the period for holding elections, the honourable court has given its verdict on Monday.

In view of the looming state bifurcation issue, if the elections are conducted for the municipalities, the future of various political parties will be revealed by the election verdict, even before the general elections 2014.
It is worth mentioning here that the elections have been getting postponed over a period in view of the ongoing state bifurcation process.
