Hyderabad: The employees working in the State government should think twice before submitting their resignations for any purpose. The government has amended the Andhra Pradesh State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996, issued through a GO No. 436. A new order (GO Ms No. 33) was issued on Tuesday amending the service rules of GO No. 436. As per the amended rules, the employee would not be permitted to withdraw his or her resignation if the withdrawal was sought to be made after the resignation took effect.
Many of the employees have been submitting their resignations to the jobs for contesting in the elections. Some of the employees who lost in the elections have been withdrawing their resignations using the special clause on the plea that the “resignation had not come into effect.”
