As developments surrounding the contentious Telangana issue hots up in Delhi, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu left for national capital from Kolkata immediately.
Chandrababu was in Kolkata to meet Trinamool Congress supremo and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to discuss the formation of a federal front ahead of the Lok Sabha polls. As per schedule, he should have returned to Hyderabad after meeting Mamata.
However, soon as news spread that President had cleared the Telangana Bill and that it was expected to be introduced in the Rajya Sabha tomorrow, the TDP chief changed his travel plans to Delhi.
After the meeting Mamata, Naidu said: “Discussions are on with different political parties on the formation of the federal front.”
