Medaram Jatara: Deities Return To Forest Today. The entire region at Medaram overwhelmed with joy and chanting of Sammakka and Sarakka names. The devotees presented many offerings to the deities and rushed to have prasadams. On Saturday evening the reforest deities will return to the jungle.

On the sacred day of maghashudda Paurnami (full moon day), Sammakka and Sarakka got sanctified on Pagididdaraju and Govindarajulu arenas. Since early Friday there was a heavy rush for darshan of the deities. As many as 1 crore 30 lakh people had darshan of the deities this year. Apart from the devotees from Andhra Pradesh, devotes from Chattisgarh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh have also visited the place and presented their offerings. On Saturday evening the deities will go back to the forest. As it is the last day of the Jatara, most of the devotees have gathered here to see the final phase of Jatara.
