NGOs board special train for ‘Chalo Delhi’, APNGOs Chalo Delhi programme, The AP NGOs from the district on Saturday set out from Renigunta by a special train to New Delhi to participate in the protest programme to be held in New Delhi on February 17 and 18.

Vijayawada: Hundreds of the AP Non-Gazetted Officers’ Association and other members of the Samaikyandhra Joint Action Committee left for Chalo Delhi programme scheduled for the next two days in the national capital.

They boarded the special trains coming from Nellore and Visakhapatnam. Raising Jai Samaikyandhra slogans, the employees, advocates, students and representatives of various professional groups boarded the train.

Chirala: Thousands of Samaikyandhra activists from Kandukur, Parchur, Giddalur, Chirala, Markapur and other areas rushed to Ongole to catch the special train.

Akividu: A group of 100 supporters of Samaikyandhra on Saturday left for Delhi to take part in the agitation planned by the NGOs in the country’s capital.

Anantapur: More than 3,000 employees of various government departments left here for Delhi in a special train to take part in the Chalo Delhi programme. TDP MLA Palle Raghunath Reddy, APNGOs district president Devaraju, secretary Venkatanarsaiah, Income Tax officer Subash and others flagged off the train here on Saturday.

Nellore: As part of the “Chalo Delhi” programme, as many as 450 APNGOs, who are opposed to the bifurcation of the state, left for New Delhi in a special train from here.

Kadapa: NGOs and YSRCP leaders and activists from the district left here for New Delhi on Saturday. Ten compartments were allotted for Kadapa district in the special train that started off from Chittoor district. Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders and cadre left for Delhi in about four compartments that were allotted to them.

Kakinada: Nearly 3,000 employees from various government departments in East Godavari district left for New Delhi by a special train on Saturday. The special train, which was booked by the APNGOs by paying Rs 34 lakh to the Railways, left the Kakinada Town Railway Station one hour late.

Tirupati: The AP NGOs from the district on Saturday set out from Renigunta by a special train to New Delhi to participate in the protest programme to be held in New Delhi on February 17 and 18.
