Hyderabad: The Telangana Vidyavanthula Vedika (TVV) on Sunday blacklisted 10 individuals representing political parties and media groups. A campaign against them would be launched shortly. It will be holding a two-day ‘deeksha’ programme to build up support for Telangana Bill in all 10 districts from February 17 and 18.

Addressing the media, TVV chairman Mallepalli Laxmaiah said the organisation listed politicians - TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and MPs Lagapati Rajagopal, CM Ramesh, Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and Sabbam Hari - as individuals not deserving respect in the Telangana region.

With their acts, they proved harmful to the interests of Telangana. The remaining five individuals were from the media, who had been working overtime to project a biased picture of the political situation on both sides, Mallepalli Laxmaiah added.

“Some of these are big blots in the name of journalism as they tossed in air the values and ethics. They blurred the thin line between news and views with the hope that they would change their stance. We are not revealing their names,” he noted. Mallepalli Laxmaiah said that the future Telangana would not have any place for the two political parties -- TDP and YSRCP -- as they had betrayed the people.

Eventhough the Congress and the BJP were considered to be in favour of Telangana, if they failed to pass the Bill in this session the Vedika would launch a campaign against them, he added.

According to him, any kind of future protest would be democratic in nature as the history of struggle had shown. But there would be no more suicides in the region, which was already soaked with the blood of martyrs.

Responding to questions, he said there was nothing to worry about Seemandhra leaders leaving for Delhi, as any act of violence would prove detrimental to their own interests.

He expressed the hope that the Supreme Court would not intervene after the Bill was passed in Parliament.
