Two states before elections: DS
Two states before elections: DS, D Srinivas Rao, general elections, Telangana, Sonia Gandhi. DS addressed the media in Delhi and said it was not rational to say that Telangana was figured just for the sake of electoral gain.
New Delhi: The former PCC president and senior Congress Leader D Srinivas Rao on Friday said that the two states will be carved before the looming general elections only.
DS addressed the media in Delhi and said it was not rational to say that Telangana was figured just for the sake of electoral gain. He said now the time has come when TRS party should be merged with the Congress party.
Further, he said the Congress Party High Command has been discussing the very issue. He said it was due to Sonia Gandhi, Telangana has been realised. He said it is most probable that the President's rule will be imposed in the state.
It is worth mentioning here that there is news making rounds that even before the general elections, Chiranjeevi will be appointed as the Chief Minister of residual Andhra Pradesh, while Geetha Reddy or Ponnala Lakshmaiah have the chances of being Telangana Chief Minister. However, DS opined conversely that there are bright chances for President’s rule in the state.
