Shivaji tells youth to ensure rout of Congress

To undertake State-wide tour to educate people

Tirumala: Telugu film actor Shivaji on Saturday called upon students and youth to ensure the rout of the Congress party for diving the Seemandhra people without giving them the capital. He would undertake a State-wide tour to educate and bring awareness among Telugus about the loss they suffered.

The TTD Vigilance staff obstructed his meeting here on the loss caused to the Seemandhra people owing to the State division. The actor objected to their action, wondering why gatherings addressed by politicians were being allowed.

Shivaji contended that he had come here to have ‘darshan’; but felt that as an artiste he was duty-bound to respond to the State’s current problems. He was forced to leave the choultry. The staff relented when the actor said he was ready to even forego the Lord’s ’darshan’. He declined to comment on the staff preventing his meeting. Shivaji had ‘darshan’ like commoners.

He objected to leaders of various political parties criticising one another, even while proclaiming that they would ensure the State’s unity. He observed that Telangana had become possible only because of people’s sacrifices. He expressed anguish that politicians had made the future of generations gloomy by their actions. The actor alleged that there was a ‘conspiracy’ in separating the Seemandhra region, without ensuring its development. He urged people to vote for only those candidates who would fulfill their aspirations.
