Jagan tells Naidu that his generation will perform better

Eluru (West Godavari): Telugu Desam president N Chandrababu Naidu is old, while I am young, YSR Congress Party chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy asserted boldly here on Monday.

The Kadapa MP made the comment while addressing a public meeting as part of ‘YSR Janabheri’ at ASR Grounds. He claimed that he could administer the State better than Naidu. Jagan assured the gathering that after coming to power he would append four signatures which would ‘change history’. He said the first signature would be on the ‘Ammabadi Pathakam’ which is expected to change the lives of a mother and her children. The second increasing the old age pension to Rs.700; the third creating a welfare fund to ensure remunerative prices to farmers. The last signature would be on waiver of Dwacra loans. Jagan pledged to strive throughout his life for developing the State.

He observed that although YS Rajasekhar Reddy died five years back, he was alive in people’s hearts, as he stood for values and trustworthiness. These qualities, Jagan quipped, could not be found even if one looked with a magnifying glass.

The MP wondered whether TDP chief had ever visited a student or was he aware of a student’s difficulties. ‘I can recall the hardship faced by the sick during Naidu’s rule’. He ridiculed Naidu’s claim of transforming the State into Singapore, after ‘cheating people by backing the bifurcation’. There was good crowd at the meeting. The venue was packed with people.
