Oppn ‘garjanas’ today, Odarpu Yatra, N Chandrababu Naidu, praja Garjana in Nellore. Naidu’s rally will begin at M Subbirami Reddy Circle and culminate at VR College grounds, the venue for the public meeting.

Nellore/khammam: The two main Opposition parties, the Telugu Desam and the YSRCP, are getting into aggressive poll campaign mode.
While TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu will address a massive “praja Garjana” public meeting at Nellore on Wednesday, YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy will be testing the waters in Telangana by addressing a public meeting in Khammam.
Naidu’s rally will begin at M Subbirami Reddy Circle and culminate at VR College grounds, the venue for the public meeting.
Nellore town turned yellow, with TDP flags, cutouts, flexes and buntings dotting the landscape, including at Gandhi statue, Kanaka Mahal Centre, Atmakur bus-stand, Nawabpet and Ramalingapuram Circle areas. Several Congress leaders, including Nellore City MLA M Sridharkrishna Reddy, Sarvepalli legislator Adhala Prabhakar Reddy, are to join the Telugu Desam in the presence of Naidu.
Notwithstanding tough opposition from the pro-Telangana activists and a bandh call given by some organizations, YSRCP Khammam district leaders intensified publicity campaign to muster support for Jagan’s public meeting. The MP plans to undertake his unfinished 'Odarpu Yatra' tour to all nine Telangana districts, except Khammam.
During the Yatra he will "console" about 250 families in the region. Meanwhile, the Telangana JAC leaders and CPI activists on Tuesday took out a rally in Khammam town opposing Jagan’s tour, reiterating that he has no right to tour the region. The YSRCP activists countered it with their own rally.
Members of both groups hurled footwear and shouted slogans against each other.
The Telangana JAC called for bandh in the town on Wednesday and Thursday.
