Hyderabad: TDP president N Chandrababu, who has been honing his skills in delivering punch dialogues, on Sunday made interesting remarks against former Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Tollywood’s ‘Power Star’ Pawan Kalyan on their proposals to launch a new party.

Taking pot shots at Kiran while admitting two former Congress ministers T G Venkatesh and Erasu Pratap Reddy, Naidu said that as the CM, Kiran kept saying the last ball was yet to be bowled, and made tall claims that he would stall the bifurcation. However, despite being in power, he failed to do anything. “What can he do now?” he said.

"Kiran or Pawan or whoever he may be should ponder over how formation of new parties will help the people. Telugus have already suffered and our actions should not make them suffer more," said Naidu and advised them to strengthen the Telugu Desam Party for a strong Telugu community. Instead of launching a new party they should support the TDP in its efforts to ensure bright future for Telugu-speaking people, he added.

Naidu exuded confidence that the TDP was confident of develop both the States. He said that TDP had a track record of development in the past and would once again prove its commitment towards the people of both the states. He alleged that Andhra Pradesh was divided to damage the TDP. He also Naidu alleged that in Telangana, landlords were trying to reap political benefits. He said he was keen to see a leader from BCs as the Chief Minister in that State.
