Hyderabad: Unlike other parties, Telangana Rashta Samithi (TRS) Party is contesting only in Telangana (state) region in the looming general eleactions. The process of filing up of nominations was concluded on Wednesday for the constituencies located in this region.

If we clearly examine the allocation of seats done by TRS Party, the party has allocated as many as 54 seats to elite castes of the society. while allocating 31 seats to the backward groups. Of these 31 seats, 20 seats have been given for the constituencies reserved for SCs and 10 seats have been allocated for the constituencies reserved for STs. In a similar vein, only 9 seats were spared for women candidates.

Similar to the above case, of the 17 Lok Sabha constituencies, only 7 seats were given to upward groups of the societies while allocating remaining 10 seats to the backward groups. Of these 10 seats, 3 people are SCs; 2 are STs and 2 are minorities.

These figures surely reveal one fact that if not TRS has done much to the backward groups; they have surely taken the whole thing into consideration. Nevertheless, the representation of women should have been quite more than the present allocation.
