When the issue was taken to the notice of her in-laws Rajaiah and Madhavi, an assistant professor at Kakatiya University, they failed to address it. They promised to sort out the issue in 2013 but have not acted promptly, Sarika complained. When the reporters reached the MP’s house she was found sitting at the locked up residence of the MP. The MP and his family members have locked up the residence and went away and she continued her protest with her three minor sons, Abhignya, Vishnuvardhan and Srivardhan.

Sarika told press persons that she went Hyderabad to lodge a police complaint against her in-laws and husband by the time she reached back home it was locked up. "This is the way they torture me every now and then" he lamented. "The MP who claims of serving the public is not able to care about the plight of his own daughter-in-law" she added.

It might be noted that Anil and Sarika have entered into a wedding bond through registered marriage in 2002 after they fall in love while studying engineering. Later they went to London in search of job career and in 2006 a traditional marriage ceremony was organised with the consent of both the families. In view the clashes in her family Sarika knocked the doors of Nampally court which in turn directed her to file police complaint at Begumpet women's police station in Hyderabad. The police have booked cases against Anil under IPC sections 498 (A), 494 and 506 along with his parents.

She reportedly approached the district administration seeking security as she was facing threat to her life. It might be recalled Sarika has allegedly attempted suicide in May 2013 and was treated at a private hospital in Hanamkonda. The MP was not available to comment on the issue.
